RENT is a Pulitzer Prize-winning rock musical by Jonathan Larson that loosely retops Giacomo Puccini’s opera La Bohème. Set in 1990s New York City’s East Village, it follows a diverse group of impoverished bohemians striving to survive, create art, and find love in the shadow of the HIV/AIDS crisis.
