Creative Foundry represents an evolution in the way The Premiere Playhouse supports locally generated theatre and the artists who create it. Rather than asking every new project to fit into a single production model, the initiative establishes a flexible, customized development process designed around the individual needs of each work and artist.

Original plays, musicals, and theatrical works developed through readings, workshops, commissions, and developmental productions.

Emerging directors, producers, and artistic leaders bringing innovative, immersive, unconventional, and deeply personal theatrical ideas to life.

Performers developing artist-driven cabarets and musical storytelling experiences that celebrate their unique voices.

Together, these programs create a unified model for submission, review, development, mentorship, and producing — while allowing the process itself to be customized to the needs of the artist and the project. Because not every story is the same. Not every artist needs the same thing. And not every piece of theatre needs to be built the same way.

Whether you’re developing a play, dreaming up an immersive experience, building a cabaret, preparing for your next audition, or simply trying to figure out what comes next… There may be a place for you in the Foundry.

Submissions will have a soft deadline of October 30, 2026, with selected projects considered for development and/or production between January-June 2026. Season 25 submissions will open in 2027.
