Instructor
Dave Holly
Dave Holly did his first celebrity impression while only in the third grade. He was hooked. Over 50 years later he still uses his voice creatively. At one point in time he even had a one man variety show that featured several stars that he didn’t have to pay. Now he focuses his talents on voices other than his normal speaking. His voice memo app has dozens of character voices he has developed, complete with names and back stories. He began a radio career while a senior in high school. His college days at what’s now Southwest Minnesota State University (then Southwest State University) was valuable in providing him other avenues for using his voice for more than just broadcasting. He quickly learned of opportunities in professional voice-overs, narration and voice-acting. He looks forward to helping you discover and develop your acting voices. His voice has been heard across the nation in commercials, corporate narrations including e-learning. He has taken professional voice lessons and continues to work with two well-acclaimed voice coaches. But it’s when he gets the opportunity to make up a voice that trills him. The options are endless as you’ll find out. Oh, that first impression was soon followed by imitations of Saturday morning cartoons!
