This class draws on Oliver Mayes’ artistic-directing and performance experience as well as his continuous research into performing commercial/popular music on theatrical stages. It teaches performers the vocal, stylistic, and storytelling tools used across pop, rock, country, R&B, musical-theatre-pop crossover and singer-songwriter idioms, and shows how to shape those tools into a cohesive solo cabaret or concert performance.
