Class Description

The goal of this class is to introduce participants to a variety of acting styles and techniques throughout theatre history. We will start at the beginning of recorded theatre history with Greek theatre, and work our way up to today with our more contemporary style. Through demonstration, lecture, hands-on activities, and exercises, participants will leave the course feeling empowered to tackle any style of theatre.

Cost: $176.00 ($22/class)

What to know: 

  • Bring a note taking device, water bottle, and clothes to move in around in
  • If this class does not meet a minimum of 10 registrations 10 days before the first date, the class will be cancelled and registrants will be refunded.

Jeff Larson

Jeff Larsen is a Sioux Falls based director and actor. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Augustana University in Theatre and Philosophy, and his Master of Fine Arts in Directing at the University of South Dakota. He is currently the Community Engagement and Education Program Coordinator for the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, he has served as the Artistic Director for Monstrous Little Theatre Company and works with other area theatre companies, including as a director and instructor for The Premiere Playhouse.
