Greetings fellow playwrights!
The Premiere Playhouse is teaming up with the University of Sioux Falls to bring you the Festival of New Plays! We are seeking new, original, one-act plays from talent residing in or around Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The winning eight (8) submissions will get a table read in front of our judges at the Oprheum Theatre. From there the top two (2) will receive the full production treatment in The Premiere Playhouse’s next season (2022 – 2023)!
Submission Guidelines:
- Must submit your one act play by March 15, 2022
- Must be original work
- Single submissions only
- Must not exceed 60-minute performance time
- Plays and plays with music are accepted
- Musicals will not be considered
- Playwrights must reside within an 80-mile radius of The Premiere Playhouse
- Please upload play in .pdf format
- Readings will be open to the public
- Plays will be adjudicated via a blind submission process
