What You’ll Do (Job Expectations):
As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging environment for our young campers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Leadership Team: You will work closely with the Director and Stage Manager to support daily camp activities and ensure smooth operations.
- Camper Support: You will be attentive to the individual needs of the child or children assigned to your care, providing guidance and encouragement.
- Active Engagement: You are expected to fully participate in all camp activities alongside the campers, fostering a sense of community and fun.
- Logistical Support: You will assist with the daily set-up and tear-down of the camp space, ensuring a safe and organized environment.
- Consistent Presence: Punctuality and full attendance during all scheduled camp hours are essential.
- Production Involvement: You will be required to be present for all performances, assisting both backstage with technical elements and potentially onstage as needed.
- Supervising Arrival and Departure: You will help ensure the safe and organized pick-up and drop-off of campers each day.
- Theatrical Aptitude: A general understanding of theatrical productions is beneficial, and a willingness to learn more about the process is expected.
- Behavior Management: You will be responsible for understanding and implementing appropriate behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere.
- Space Maintenance: You will contribute to keeping the rehearsal and performance spaces tidy and organized.
- Professional Conduct: Throughout the duration of the camp, you are expected to maintain the highest degree of professionalism in your interactions with campers, staff, and parents.
