The Show Goes On!!!

It’s been 9 months since we last performed a live stage show and although we have been dark throughout that period, we have managed to keep our audience and volunteers engaged through the many radio plays that we have produced. If you did not get the opportunity to listen to any of those shows, visit www.tpplayhouse.wpengine.com and you will find them there free of charge for your entertainment.

We open our Season on December 3rd with It’s A Wonderful Life and we sincerely hope that you will buy tickets, come along to see the show and join

in the Christmas spirit. With your safety in mind, we have implemented an extremely strict COVID plan that incorporates social distanced seating and mandatory mask wearing. Many thanks to 3M in Brookings for their assistance in planning your entrance and exit to and from the auditorium. They have applied their workflow expertise to audience-flow, and we believe that this approach will help to maintain social distancing while you are here as our guests. Please always wear your masks when you are not eating or drinking and follow the instructions of the ushers when it’s time to leave the Theatre. We cannot give guarantees, but we have implemented strict protocols to mitigate the risk, and we thank you in advance for supporting community theatre.

The show is a stage production of a live radio play set in a 1940’s radio studio. You will be a member of the live radio audience as our cast bring to life the heartwarming story of the famous Frank Capra movie. The movie stars Jimmy Stewart as he struggles to make sense of his life before coming to the realization that we all have a purpose, and love and friendship have a value that money cannot buy.

Finally, many thanks to our Sponsors Sanford Health and First National Ba

nk for their financial support in times when every non-profit organization is looking for philanthropic support. Thank you also to Culver’s for their financial support of our in-play radio advertising. Without the help of local businesses such as these, we would struggle to produce the high standard of theatre that we have become known for.

Please help us to spread the word that we are open for business and encourage others to come and see the show! Kick off the holiday season with a Wonderful family night out.

Wishing you all a healthy and Happy Christmas from the Sioux

Empire Community Theatre.

Robin Byrne
