Moving Through Dance

Objective

Unearth the joy of movement in our inclusive dance and movement workshop specially designed for non-dancers. No matter your skill level, this workshop is the perfect opportunity to explore your body’s natural rhythm and expressiveness through accessible dance techniques and engaging exercises that will boost your confidence, improve coordination, and ignite your passion for movement. Join us in a supportive and welcoming environment where everyone can experience the transformative power of dance.

What To Bring With You:

  • Comfortable & movement friendly clothing (prefer no skirts)
  • Shoes that will stay on your feet (no flip flops, etc)
  • A water bottle
  • There will be chairs available for modifications and limited mobility access

Instructor

Leigh Spencer

Leigh Spencer is a dancer, choreographer, and writer. She was part of Southern Illinois Repertory Dance Theater in college, as both a dancer and choreographer, and has been a featured dancer in several musicals and plays in Sioux Falls. Most recently, she choreographed TPP's Disney's The Little Mermaid, and her play, Comfortably Single, was part of this year's The Premiere Premieres. Leigh has a passion for dance improv and for creating choreography that is accessible for non-dancers.
